PlanetHike Participant FAQ
PlanetHike is a 10 km hiking event created by Regreenity to inspire fitness, foster community connections, and champion environmental sustainability. By participating, you’ll join thousands of like-minded individuals help rise funds for tree planting, raise awareness, and take steps toward a greener, healthier planet.

No, participation is free! We do, however, recommend a small donation of 10 €/10 $ to help cover event costs and plant trees. Every 5 €/5 $ donation plants one tree. Every bit helps!
Water Bottle: Please bring a reusable water bottle prefilled with water and all you might need after the hike for a picnic-like atmosphere if the weather permits. We are committed to reducing plastic waste.
Comfortable Footwear: Wear walking shoes suitable for a 10km hike.
Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat if it’s sunny.
Identification: Carry personal ID and any necessary medical information.
Start times vary by location. Check the event page for your PlanetHike to see when and where participants should meet or contact your city ambassador. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early.
The PlanetHike typically takes 2-3 hours to complete, depending on your pace and how often you stop to enjoy the scenery or take breaks.
Absolutely! PlanetHike is a family-friendly event, and we encourage participants of all ages. You can register as a group or individually and meet up on the day of the event.
You can stop or take a break along the route. Contact our volunteers or your host if you need assistance.
To minimize waste, we ask that you bring your own snacks in reusable containers and properly dispose all your waste.
We strive to make PlanetHike accessible to as many people as possible. Some routes may have uneven terrain, so please check the event details for specific accessibility information or contact your city ambassador. If you have special requirements, contact us in advance so we can try to accommodate your needs.
Pets are welcome at some PlanetHike events. Please check with your city ambassador first.
PlanetHike event might be cancelled due to severse weather or other conditions! Participants will be notified of any changes or cancellations via email and social media or on our website. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
After registering, you’ll receive a personalized fundraising page where you can track your progress, share updates, and encourage donations from friends and family.
Safety is our top priority. We have volunteers available throughout the hike. Please familiarize yourself with the route and follow all safety instructions provided by event host and don’t forget to bring your own first aid kid.
By participating in PlanetHike, you contribute directly to planting 10 million trees, globally. Your registration fee and any additional donations support these initiatives and help us build a more sustainable future.

If you lose an item during the event, please contact a volunteer. We’ll do our best to help you recover your lost belongings.
